Originally from New Zealand, Andrew Kelly is a freelance violinist currently based in London. Developing a keen ear from listening to his older siblings play the piano, Andrew began learning the violin at age 5 with the Suzuki Method. Having studied at the Royal College of Music and The University of Auckland, Andrew is equally at home in the world of Classical music as well as having a flair for jazz improvisation and pop music. Partaking as the youngest member of the NZSO National Youth Orchestra at age 15, Andrew was awarded the loan of a 1749 Gagliano violin in 2018. A regular busker as well as dinner party entertainer, he enjoys playing for all audiences and recording sessions for London based musicians. Recent highlights include recording the music for the Amazon Prime.
